GAREAU, Una Lois "Ginger"
It is with heavy hearts the family of Una “Ginger” Gareau announce her passing on September 20th, 2021, at the age of 81. Una was the cherished daughter of the late Maud and Rene Gareau. Beloved sister of Marjorie (Blake predeceased) Thibault, Vivian (George “Chum” predeceased) Lane, and brother Blaine (Elaine) Gareau. Predeceased by her brother Gary. Loving Aunt to Tammie, Myles (Linda predeceased), Tim (Stacey), Allan (Evelyn), Scott (Jody), Melanie (Peter), and Aaron (Julie). She will be greatly missed by daughter Heather, granddaughter Stephanie and great grandchildren Aspen, Maddox and Bentley. She will be sadly missed by her great nieces and nephews Paul (Jennifer), Natalie (Dave), Todd (predeceased), Dylan, Mackenzie, Benjamin, Joshua, Mia, Trent, and great-great nieces and nephews Lee, Alison, and Jack; as well as her many cousins, “Deerhurst family” and friends. Her selflessness, generosity, kindness and strength were inspiring and admirable to everyone she touched. She volunteered in her local community helping out at the local animal shelter by walking dogs, raising money and donating. She was always the first to welcome new neighbors’ in her local neighborhood of the Huntsville area where she lived and offered to help show them around or look after their pets while away. Those of you who knew Una know she had a passion for life and never slowed down. She was the longest serving staff member at the Deerhurst resort retiring not that long ago and they have shared their stories and antics of this wonderful character. A life lived to the fullest and such a vibrant lady!
