CRAIG, Theresa Lillian (nee Smyth)

Passed away peacefully with her family at her side at her home in Huntsville on Sunday, July 2, 2023, in her 78th year. Theresa was born on October 6, 1945, in Toronto to parents Herbert & Julia (nee Greenwood) Smyth.  Theresa was the beloved wife of the late William Craig who predeceased her on December 10th, 2009.  Left to mourn her passing are her loving children Sandra Sweeney (James Sweeney), Douglas Craig (Suzie Fong) and Stuart Craig.  Proud grandmother of Justin Sweeney, Ryan Sweeney, Lauren Sweeney, Aidan Craig, Ashton Craig, Christian Craig, Dalton Craig, Callum Fong-Craig and Carson Heyerman. Predeceased by her parents and sister, Marie Laudenbach.

Theresa found great joy and contentment caring for her children, grandchildren, nieces & nephews throughout the years; however, it was the happiness she felt when her family was together at the cottage.  She loved to laugh and would always find the good in everyone. And in return, everyone loved her back.  She was gentle, loving, compassionate, considerate and the most generous soul.  She is dearly missed by all.

The family invite friends to a visitation at Billingsley Funeral Home on Friday, July 7, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  The Funeral Mass will be said following the visitation at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Huntsville at 1:00 p.m.  As an expression of sympathy, flowers can be sent to Billingsley Funeral Home, or memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Huntsville Hospital Foundation.
