Shirley Mae (Sammons) House

HOUSE, Shirley Mae (nee Sammons)

Passed peacefully, in her sleep, at Huntsville Hospice on Wednesday January 25th, at age 82.  She was preceded by her husband Ervin House, her parents Bill and Martha Sammons, her brother Richard (Vivian), her sister Ellen and her son-in-law Tony Hall.   Loving mother to Brenda of Maynooth, Kathy (Sal) of Huntsville and Nancy of Keswick.   Loving grandmother to Samuel, Hannah (Clay), Rebecca (Brad), Oliver (Wayquay) and great grandmother to Wren. Cherished aunt to Lori and Krissy.

Shirley was a very talented and creative person. Her hands and her mind were always busy sewing, quilting, knitting, painting and crocheting.

Special thanks to her Sanga group. She was inspired by you and made new friends especially Sandra, Maureen, Sam, John and Mardi.  Also, special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Huntsville Hospice and Huntsville Hospital.  Very special thanks to her at home nurses especially Samantha and Nancy.

At Shirley’s request there will be no service.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Huntsville Hospice would be appreciated.
