Shirley Elizabeth (Robinson) Booth

BOOTH, Shirley Elizabeth (nee Robinson)

Passed away on October 27, 2022, at Fairvern Nursing Home in her 88th year.  Shirley was married to Frank Booth on October 27, 1956.  Frank and Shirley had four children: the late Peter, the late Dale, Darrell and Terry.  Cherished grandmother to Ryan, Jami Lee, Kylie, Michelle, Rose, Danielle and Michael.  Great-grandmother to the late Marcus, Owen, Brielle, Isabell, Sarah, Liam, Aria and Ryan.  Shirley was the last of 13 siblings.

After many years spent cheering and managing her boys in hockey and lacrosse, Shirley decided to go back to school and get her degree in nursing, where she spent many years working at Fairvern Nursing Home.

Shirley overcame many tragedies in her lifetime, including the passing of her two children Peter and Dale, her husband Frank, and great-grandson Marcus.  Through this time of sorrow, Shirley displayed strength, courage and perseverance.

Shirley was a very special lady.  She never missed an opportunity to tell you the truth, even if you didn't want to hear it.  Shirley will be greatly missed for her spunk, her honest attitude and amazing sense of humour.  Shirley will always be remembered in our thoughts and our hearts.

A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Huntsville on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 12-3 p.m.  As an expression of sympathy memorial donations can be made to Friends of Fairvern.
