THOMPSON, Ruth (nee Turner)

Ruth passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Harold Thompson who predeceased Ruth in 2000.  Dear mother of Barry Markle, Brian (Sally) Markle, Boyd (Lisa) Markle, and Susan (Mark) Genders. Stepmother of Lynn (Bill) Antcliffe, Pat (Brenda) Thompson, Angela (Shane) MacDonald, the late Chris Thompson, and Ed (Sandy) Thompson. Cherished grandmother of Karla, Emily, Norman, Darren, Jocelyn, Elizabeth, Natalie, Marina and Morgan. Great-Grandmother of Christian, and many step-grandchildren. Dear sister of Ted (Irene) Turner, Jack Turner, and Harry (Brenda) Turner.  Pre-deceased by her brother's Ron and Steve Turner.

The family will receive guests for visitation on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Billingsley Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m.  Reception to follow the service in the downstairs facility. Cremation will follow the service. Burial to be commenced at the Aspdin St. Mary's Anglican Cemetary at a later date.  As an expression of sympathy memorial donations can be made to the Muskoka Literacy Council, 60 King William Street, Huntsville, or to the charity of your choice.
