HOLMES, Roberta Caroline Olive (nee Field)

Roberta passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on February 23, 2022 at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital in her 81st year.  Born on December 21, 1941 in Huntsville, Ontario to parents Robert & Olive (nee May) Field.  Roberta married Robert Holmes and would spend the majority of her life in Acton, Ontario where she would raise her family and become a member and volunteer at her church, Royal Canadian Legion and many businesses in the Acton area.

Roberta is the beloved wife of the late Robert Holmes. Cherished mother of Connie (Craig) Salter, Kevin Bath, Laurie (Bruce) Rudneski, Scott (Liz) Holmes and Garnet (Katherine) Holmes.  Proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  Dear sister of Shirley Collins and Pauline Diamond.  Predeceased by her parents Robert and Olive Field and sister Evelyn Gildemeester and  brother Irwin Field.

Roberta was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She will be remembered for her kindness and commitment to her family.  The family would like to thank the staff at Rogers Cove and Huntsville Hospital for the excellent care she received.

Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation, Hospice Huntsville, Madill Church Preservation Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation.  Messages of condolence can be left at www.billingsleyfuneralhome.com
