Precious Hove

Precious Hove (née Ndebele) was born in Wedza, Zimbabwe on July 13, 1957 and passed away on January 19, 2025, at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital in Ontario, Canada. Her parents were Katy Gift Zembe and Earning Makaka Ndebele. She grew up in Bulawayo. Her siblings are: Gift (Deceased), Oppah (Deceased), Sithabile, Sikelela (Deceased), Pikiswa, and Sibusiso Ndebele.

She earned her registered nursing and midwifery credentials from the Mpilo School of Nursing in Bulawayo, a diploma in Community Nursing from the University of Zimbabwe, and a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oklahoma.

Precious was married to Nathan Geoffrey Hove. Her greatest accomplishments were her children Batsirai Neliah Kasu, Mufaro Hove, and Sifiso Hove, and she was the proud, VERY PROUD, grandmother of Anashe Munyengeterwa and Farikayi Rimbi-Kasu.

Precious had an unwavering faith and a passionate relationship with God. A devoted member of her church, she was an active participant in singing, worship, and was a natural peacemaker who brought people together.

Precious was a pillar of both the family and several communities she served in Africa, USA and Canada. A woman who was gifted with positive attributes too numerous to exhaustively mention. She was known for her outstanding natural gifts of generosity, selflessness, forgiving, tolerance, and warm-heartedness. All these attributes, rooted in her strong Christian upbringing, shaped her calling to the caring profession as a nurse.

A mother of the nation who carried her motherhood role with dignity, compassion and commitment exemplified through her taking care of numerous children of friends, family and those who sought comfort under her arms everywhere she went and lived.

A true "Domestic Queen," Precious expressed her creativity and love through her hobbies, including cooking, gardening, crocheting, knitting, sewing, hosting, dancing, and music.

Precious Hove will be remembered as a beacon of light, love, and faith. Her laughter, wisdom, and unwavering spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
