Phyllis Mary Rhodes

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis at the age of 99. Pre-deceased by loving husband of 43 years, Cecil Rhodes; survived by daughters Judith Rhodes-Munk (Neils), and Andrea Rhodes-Cass (Jerry), grandchildren Devin Cass (Kana), Nelson Munk, Erin Munk (Kaley), Brian Cass (Amelia), Carson Cass; and great grandchildren Finley Munk, August Cass, Avery Munk, and Archer Cass. 

Sole daughter of independent grocer William Calbeck and wife Irene, she earned her B.A. at the University of Western Ontario and was a Gamma Phi sorority sister. She worked as a medical secretary in London and at Hussman’s in Brantford. She enjoyed swimming, boating, bridge, golf and travel and was a member of the Hi Y – Club, International Order of the Daughters of the Empire, and Women’s Institute of Brantford. 

Funeral to take place April 1, 2024 at Billingsley Funeral Home, Huntsville, visitation 10:00 -11:00 a.m., followed by service and reception. Interment will be April 2, 3:00 p.m. at Farringdon Burial Ground, Brantford.
