Phyllis Mary (Allen) Legerton

LEGERTON, Phyllis Mary (nee Allen)

Phyllis Mary was born on November 8, 1927, the daughter of Charles Allen and Bessie Cox.  She lived and schooled in Toronto, Ontario.

Phyllis married Bill Legerton on June 19, 1954 at St. Johns Norway Church in Toronto.  They lived in the United States for two years and moved to Toronto in 1956.  They lived in Toronto until 2015 when they again moved to Huntsville, Ontario to be closer to their lakeside cottage on Skeleton Lake in Muskoka.  They were married for 69 wonderful years.

Phyllis was very active in local craft shows displaying her sewing, knitting and many other crafts that she was proficient with.  Bill also donated some other crafts as well.

They have two children, Scott, born in 1960 and Lisa Ellen, born in 1964.  Scott lives full time at the cottage since it has been completely winterized and Lisa now lives in Huntsville.

Bill and Phyllis traveled to England and Europe many times with great enjoyment visiting their parents and relatives in their hometowns.

Phyllis passed away on December 26, 2021 with her loving and devoted life partner holding her hand as she slipped away.in her sleep from complications of dementia.  She enjoyed a very happy and pleasant journey through life with their travels, family and cottage.  We all and I shall miss her deeply and forever at age 94 plus.
