Philip "Doug" Broadbent

Born in Huntsville, Ontario February 19th, 1949 Passed away in Huntsville, Ontario February 21st, 2017 Beloved husband of 30 years to Anna Mary. Cherished father of Sam (Nicole), Vaughn (Kayla) and Grace (Buck) Capell. Loving Papa to Amelia and Vance. Gramps to Cecelia and Aubrey. Predeceased by sisters Debbie Oke and Violet Desjardins. Dear Brother of Sam (Marg), Myrrl (Nancy), Jim (Sue) and Carole. Brother in Law to Stephanie Roberts and Shelley Ferguson (Tom Fisher). Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Beloved son of Eveleen Perrier and predeceased father Frederick Broadbent. Son in Law of Helen Jenkins (Michael Creighton) and the late Evan Jenkins. Doug was a devoted family man and farmer. He and Anna Mary took great pride in their extraordinary garden and the care of the family horses. Doug was a skilled and talented carpenter and worked side by side with his two sons in the carpentry business. He handed down all his wisdom, skills and knowledge to them in this field. He shared his love and compassion of horses with his daughter Grace. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
