Pauline Krauss

In loving memory of this beautiful human being who lived and loved her life to the fullest for 96 years and 3 months. Pauline has now gone to join her husband and two sons… to where forever is.

Pauline leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a devoted family in Europe.

Pauline was born in Austria to Paula Strauss and Franz Mödritscher on December 24th, 1927. She was the 11th child of 13.

She outlived her siblings, her husband, and her sons.

Pauline Krauss has been through so much; The Great Depression, famine, war, illness, pain, loss, heartache, and a viral pandemic. Yet, through all of that, she continued to embrace life with love and laughter and a fierce loyalty to those she loved.

A special thank you to: Dr. Kent and Susan from the palliative care team for taking such good care of Pauline, the nurses at “Closing the Gap” for tending to her need with such kindness, the staff at Muskoka Traditions for always treating Pauline with respect and dignity, and to Dr. Taylor and the nurses in the Emergency Room for their compassion and professionalism.

“What we once loved, we can never lose, for all that we loved deeply becomes a part of us.” – Helen Keller.
