Patricia Mary Cameron (nee Campbell)

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Patricia (Pat) Cameron announces her passing on March 22, 2025, at the age of 78.

Surrounded by her loving children, Pat peacefully passed, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and beautiful memories.

Patricia was the beloved mother of Greg (Michelle) Yacula, Stacey (Darko) Mesich, and Heather (Gerry) Derganc. She was deeply adored by her five grandsons - Matthew (Erin), James, Nickolas, Noah and Adam -who brought endless joy and pride to her life.

Mom was predeceased by two loves, our dad Michael Yacula (1978) and our stepfather Richard Cameron (2015). Both Dad and Richard loved and cherished mom. She was also predeceased by her parents, Jack and Isabell Campbell, and her sister Joyce Robb. She is survived by her loving siblings, Shirley Toal, Sharon (Mike) Moore and Rob (Cathy) Campbell, as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

Mom had a deep love for nature and the changing seasons. She cherished sunrises, sunsets, full moons and starry nights. She was especially delighted when she would catch a glimpse of an animal, birds or hear the call of the loon. The many years mom spent at the cottage surrounded by family brought her endless joy, as did life's simple pleasures like her morning cup of coffee, baking, knitting, reading, kayaking, snowshoeing, cocktail hour and leisurely walks.  Mom was a talented and creative soul and this shone the brightest when she worked her magic with fabric creating such things as dresses, pajamas, linens and quilts for the ones she loved.

Though she pursued multiple careers and dedicated her time to various volunteer organizations, she was never defined by titles or roles. Instead, it was the people she met along the way who shaped her journey and propelled her forward. Mom touched the hearts of many - family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her kindness, warmth, and strength will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of experiencing her love.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Nancy Bozek for her compassionate care and kindness to our mother. We also deeply appreciate the support and care from the Oncology Staff at Huntsville Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital, Huntsville Palliative Care Team, Huntsville Closing the Gap, and everyone at Algonquin Grace Hospice.

A celebration of Pat's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Algonquin Grace Hospice in her memory.

Mom, your spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, you will be forever missed, always loved and we will tuck our memories of you in the pocket of our hearts.
