PHIPPEN, Marie Charlotte (nee Bailey)

Passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital at the age of 97.  Marie was  born on January 7, 1925 to parents Alexander & Charlotte (nee Roberts) Bailey in Toronto, Ontario.  She moved with her family to Huntsville in 1946 and married Harold Phippen in 1952.  Marie was well known as the head cashier at A&P where she worked for 42 years and retired in 1988 at the age of 63.  She was proud to be a member of the local Lioness Club and enjoyed many years of service with many friends.

Marie is predeceased by her beloved husband, Harold who passed away in 2010, also, brothers Allen, Harold, Philip and Ken Bailey and sister Shirley Black.  Survived by her loving sons David Roy of Mississauga and Allan (Janet) of Huntsville. Proud grandmother of Greg (Trish) Phippen, Sheila (Noble) Roberson, Julie (Karl) Bull and John (Ashli) Phippen.  Great-grandmother of 11.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.  There will be a celebration of life at Allan's home at 110 Riverside Drive on Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 2-4 p.m.
