MINAKER,June Rosemary (nee Mercer) Born in London, Ontario on February 21,1927, passed away April 30, 2018 in Kanata, Ontario. Wife of the late Donald Minaker. Cherished mother of Debra (Larry), Brenda (George), Susan (Gerry), Lorraine (Maurice), Nancy, and Anne Marie (Tony). Fond grandmother of Shawna (deceased), Brian (Laurie), Taylor (Martha), Miles (Sarah), Clark, Steven, Wade and Erin Lee; and great grandmother of Eva, Elizabeth, Avery, Nina and Sierra. Over the years June was a member of the Ontario Nurses Association as well as many church and community groups. In keeping with June's wishes, cremation has taken place. A remembrance reception will be held at Billingsley Funeral Home, 430 Ravenscliffe Road, Huntsville on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with speeches being said at 2:00 p.m. Special gratitude to the wonderful nurses and staff at Forest Hill in Kanata for their amazing care, love and compassion given to June and the family during her short stay, especially in her final days.
