WHITE, John Richard “JR”

Passed away suddenly on Friday, June 9, 2023, in his 83rd year.  Beloved son of the late Alfred and Margaret (nee Sammons) White.  John was raised along side his siblings at the family homestead in Williamsport.  Left to mourn his passing are his siblings, Carl (dec. Yvonne), Harold, Bruce (dec. Pat), Ruth (dec. George) and sister-in-law Marion.  Predeceased by his siblings Wilfred (dec. Sylvia), Fred, Jean (dec. Gord) and Norman.  He will be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

John worked at logging with his brother Carl.  He enjoyed gardening, growing the best “tators” this side of PEI.  He enjoyed leather work, creating wallets, purses, and belts for friends and family.  John would look forward to the get togethers with family and friends.  He was a good friend to everyone he met.  John was a fur daddy to many dogs; he loved his puppies.

Cremation has taken place.  A visitation will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m.  Reception to follow the service.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to Ontario SPCA Muskoka Care Centre.
