John peacefully passed away at age 72 on Monday, September 16, 2024. Father to Amy (Josh), Ann (Brandon), Keith (Soizic), sibling to Gary (Diane) and Barbra (Reid), grandfather to Jethro and Mack, predeceased by his beloved wife Joyce and parents Reginald and Eleanor. John had a smile and joke ready for anyone who crossed his path. He was a maple syrup connoisseur, smelt fishing guru, deer whisperer, and had a deep love for the wildlife and nature of Huntsville. A longtime friend to Camp Tawingo and CN Rail, serving in the Huntsville CN station for decades. John was a diligent son who took care of his mother in her golden years, and a good friend to his regular circle of coffee buddies. As per his wishes, a private cremation has been performed.
Bask in the beauty of a Muskoka sunrise, complain about the lackluster performance of the Toronto Blue Jays, savour some homestyle cooking, or find something to tinker with in his memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary would be appreciated www.aspenvalley.ca.
