RICKARD, James Thomas “Jim”

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Algonquin Grace Residential Hospice in Huntsville at the age of 76.  Jim was born on January 14, 1947, in Huntsville, Ontario to parents Frank and Margaret (nee Welk) Rickard.  He is the beloved father of Cheryl Wilson and John Rickard (Tarina Sager).  Proud grandfather of Christopher Wilson, Jennifer Wilson, Kayla Rickard and Wyatt Fonk-Rickard.  Great-grandfather of Oaklyn English and Jared Fonk-Brammer.  Brother of Carl Rickard.  He will be missed by his extended family and many friends.

Jim worked at Tembec for 43 years retiring in 2013.  He enjoyed retirement by spending quality time with his family and friends, enjoying the great outdoors and listening to bluegrass.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023, from 1-3 p.m. at Billingsley Funeral Home.  Cremation has taken place.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to Hospice Huntsville or the Canadian Lung Association.
