James Davey Allen

James Davey Allen passed away peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday October 18, 2023 in his 93rd year.  Beloved husband of Jessie Louise Allen who predeceased Jim on November 5, 2021 and were married for 68 years.  He is survived by his daughters Kathy (Dan) Patterson and Karen (Matt) Crozier, 6 grandchildren Jason (Karen) Crozier, Ben (Mel) Anthony, Nick (Kim) Anthony, Russell (Crissy) Crozier, Erin (Jeff) Fawcett and Wade (Erica) Crozier and 12 great grandchildren Garrett, Kalvin, Logan, Jake, Mya, Emma, Abby, Wyatt, Austin, Ava, Josie and Bo.  

Jim always loved hearing about what all family members had been up to and looked forward to visits at Roger’s Cove his residence for the past year and a half. He was well loved by all of his family and will be greatly missed.  

Jim was born in Huntsville to parents Chantry and Annie Viola Allen. He is predeceased by his brother Bob (Doreen) Allen. As a young man he worked with his Dad and brother in the family business, A and R Motors, before joining Ontario Hydro. 

A family memorial service will be held at a later date at Billingsley Funeral Home.  As an expression of sympathy memorial donations can be made to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation or a charity of choice.
