GREEN, Joseph "Elmer"
Elmer passed away peacefully at the Algonquin Grace Residental Hospice on Monday, April 8, 2019. Elmer was the loving father of Joseph (Helen) of North Bay, grandfather to David and Tracy and Sherry and friend Troy, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Elmer is predeceased by his wife Eileen, his parents Lloyd and Poly and three brothers Albert, Don and Richard "Dick".
Elmer had a wonderful following of friends. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and Club 55. He enjoyed playing cards, camping, fishing, social events and entertaining. He was a great cook and "he even did the dishes". Elmer was a carpenter by trade building some of the finer homes in Huntsville including their own home. Elmer's family wishes to thank Dr. Rae for the care given to Elmer and keeping him comfortable, and special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Huntsville Hospice.
A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Club 55, 37 Main Street East, Huntsville from 2-4 p.m. Donations will be appreciated by his family to a charity of your choice. Messages of condolence can be left at www.billingsleyfunerahome.com
