KAIGAS: Arthur Juri George of Huntsville, Ontario With much sadness we announce that George passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully in his sleep, on April 11th, 2016 at the age of 63. Predeceased by his parents Astrid and Artur, he is survived by his sister Tiina (Peter), nieces Kristina, Susanna (Alex) and Kate, great-niece Isla and great- nephew Peter. George was a gentle, kind brother and uncle who loved family gatherings and holidays. He enjoyed good food and was always ready for a debate on current political issues. His enormous respect for nature was a defining characteristic. He was at his happiest sitting by the lake in Muskoka and taking in the natural beauty around him. At his request, there will be no formal service. Cremation has taken place. His ashes will be scattered by the lake at the family cottage and also placed at York Cemetery in Toronto beside his parents. In his memory, a tree with a plaque bearing his name will be planted as part of the Muskoka Memorial Forest Program later this summer. George will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Donations in his memory to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) or World Wildlife Fund of Canada would be appreciated.
