Howard Maw

MAW, Howard N. Howard passed suddenly in his home on July 9th, 2018, which would have been his 63rd wedding anniversary with his much missed "dearie", Roma. Loving father of Shawnah Sturgeon, Byron Maw, Julie Maw (Wayne Shelly) and Brady Maw (Jaci). Cherished grandfather of Jesse (Janelle), Cody (Emily), Sean (Teri), Jay (Jen), Sarah (Bart), Brenna, and the late Ben. Proud great-grandfather of Olivia, Emma, Walter, William, Warren, Lochlan, David, Henry and Cecelia. Caring brother of Brian, George, Alice and the late Sheilah. Howard was the cherished patriarch of the Maw family and will be greatly missed by his immediate close knit family and extended family as well as his many friends of all ages. He was very active in his community--always trying to help others. He was a long-time Emsdale Lions Club member and a familiar face in recent years at the Novar Foodland selling tickets. He taught all who had the special privilege of knowing him, many lessons were taught simply by how he lived his life: Give more than you have, respect everyone, work hard--but enjoy all the simple moments, have a sense of humour about everything and family is first He also had a simple way of judging if a person was good, if they loved children and animals, they were good. He will live on in us all. The family invites friends to a graveside service on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. A celebration of life will take place immediately following the burial at Chafey Hall, 24 Chaffey Township Road, Huntsville.
