FELDKAMP, Helmut Egon 

It is with a heavy heart that the family of Helmut Feldkamp announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Helmut passed away on July 18, 2024, at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital in his 87th year. Helmut is survived by his wife, Emer Feldkamp of 24 years. Father of Christine and Carolina and grandfather of Catherine. Helmut will be missed by his stepdaughters Kathy and her husband Jamie and Karen and her husband John, and their daughters Hannah, Gwyneth, Grace and Clare. He also leaves behind many family members and friends both near and far who will mourn his passing.

Helmut came to Canada in 1962 as a young man and made his way successfully in the world as a millwright and industrial fabricator. In his spare time, he loved sailing and would build a trimaran and several other boats. He also enjoyed baking, photography and spending time enjoying nature either at his cottage or as a member of the Nature Club. Helmut also belonged to the Probus Club of Huntsville. 

The family invite friends to a gathering to honour Helmut on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Speeches will be said at 3:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to either the Arthritis Society of Canada at https://arthritis.ca/ or Aspdin Wildlife Sanctuary at https://www.aspenvalley.ca/  in Helmut's memory.
