H. Desmond "Des" M. Kerr

KERR, Henry Desmond "Des" Montgomery

Passed away peacefully on January 13, 2022 at The Pines Long Term Care Home in Bracebridge at the age of 94.  Des was born on June 6, 1927 in Toronto to parents Henry and Harriet Kerr.  He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Adelaide (nee Livingstone) Kerr.  He is the cherished father of Cathy (Eric), Linda (John), Paul (Lynn), Dianne (Jim), David (Michelle) and Janet.  Adored grandfather of Adam (Kim), Chris (Aura), Amy (Joel), Jonathon, Nicholas, Daniel, Meagan, Gabriel, Nathan, Priscilla and Madisyn.  Great-Grandfather of Annaliese, Violet, Joshua, Hannah, Samuel, Benjamin, Robert, Grace, Jill, Audrey and Lucy.  Predeceased by his son Joe (Nadine).

Des had a deep faith in God which was lived out each day in his love for his family and his kindness, generosity, honesty and hospitality toward friends and strangers alike.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.  "Till we meet again"

A life celebration has been postponed to an undetermined future date due to Covid.  As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Operation Smile Canada Foundation or The Pines LTC Home.
