WILLIAMS, Gordon Claude

Passed away peacefully on November 2, 2021 at Algonquin Grace Residential Hospice in Huntsville at the age of 67.  Gord was born on January 26, 1954 in Toronto, Ontario to parents David and Teresa (nee Curtis-Weston) Williams.  Beloved husband of Joanne (nee Crawford) Williams who were married on June 30, 1973.  Loving father of Darryl (Julie) Williams, Ian (Kim) Williams and Greg (Amanda) Williams.  Proud grandfather of Dryden, Gavin, Gabrielle, Madison, Mason, Jaiden and Ashton.  Survived by his brothers Gerald (Sue) Williams and Don Williams.  Pre-deceased by his parents David and Teresa Williams, stepmother Irene Williams and brother Mike Williams.  Gord will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Gord lived an incredibly full life and leaves wonderful memories with everyone who knew him. He was a skilled athlete growing up - especially his time as an all star goalie and hardball pitcher with many Georgetown rep teams. He married his High School sweetheart Joanne in 1973 and together their lives were a non stop adventure. Gord became a Master Electrician (working with Dad), he served as a Volunteer Firefighter and Officer with The Georgetown Fire Dept., became owner/operator of Penbrook Resort , built and sold houses, and more. His sense of humour was legendary and he could  tell a joke almost as good as his Dad - but his legacy will always be his devotion to his family. He was a loving and devoted husband  to his “Janny”, a great dad to their 3 boys, and beloved papa to his grandchildren. Truly a life well lived. and a reminder to us all to be grateful for our health, our families, our loved ones and to live each day to its fullest.

Gord enjoyed fishing, golfing, baseball and of course his beloved Maple Leafs but it was his family that gave him the most joy out of life.  Gord was deeply loved by his family and will be missed and always cherished.
