DALE, Gordon (Gord/Gordie/G) July 24, 1958 – November 10, 2022

After a sudden heart attack in his Huntsville home at age 64, Gord/Gordie/G passed quickly and will be missed beyond words by those with the fortune to have known him. Gord led his life with a rare passion for people, animals, nature and wildlife. He carried light and laughter to any gathering and had an ability to share great hugs, listen to others carefully and show compassion for those in need due to his own sensitive (not so visible) nature.

G held a special place in his heart for niece Kirsten Dale who enjoyed an extremely close relationship with G continuously. They would meet up, hug and pick up exactly where they left off in their last chat, laughing about their shared memories and creating more special memories together including a recent Mariah Carey concert. A spectacular time for them both and just one of many spanning decades that G valued greatly.

Predeceased by his Mom, Ila Johansen and his favourite nephew, Harrison (Harry) Dale, who shared many of the same ‘live, love and laugh’ attitudes.

Gordie will be missed by parents Gord (Cathy) Dale, brothers Ken (Miriam) Dale and Chris (Vani) Dale, sister Debbie (Don) Dale plus aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and friends including Danny and Daniel Nigris, Cindy Parker, Janice Gilmour plus extended family Lacey (Kyle) Klowak and Matt (Georgia) Klowak.

Gord was a retired automotive mechanic who enjoyed an enormous variety of music as a part of his daily vibe – without exemption. The music was always playing in his home, on his daily walks, and during car trips. One of many, many songs he loved to sing with a sparkle in his eye:

“When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that’s amore …. When you dance down the street with a cloud at your feet, you’re in love”

Indeed, Gord’s time here was about love, music, laughter and peace seeking.

These few words in warm, gentle loving memory of his presence on this side that ended abruptly, we pay tribute to this special man and hold faith we will meet again. Always. In all ways. All the way.

Cremation has taken place.  A gathering of family to be held in Huntsville on November 16th at The Mill on Main.  Donations, only if you feel the need, to the Table Soup Kitchen in Huntsville or charity of your choice.
