The family of Glenn McCabe sadly and with broken hearts announce his passing on Nov. 26, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Glenn will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten by his partner and soul mate of 38 years, Kelly, their children Keith and Alana (Lucas) and precious granddaughter Paisley.
Along with his “little family” Glenn’s memory will be cherished by his siblings Max(Vera), Linda(Ches), Phyllis(Len), Ron(Pat), George(Jeanette), Irene(Jack), Dave(Debbie), Judy(Jamie), Dee(Morgan). Brothers-in-law Ken(Jacqueline), Steve(Laura), Dan(Patricia), Step father-in-law George as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Glenn is predeceased by parents Willis and Audrey McCabe, brother Clyde and sister Shirley, Father and Mother-in-Law Roland and Shirley Fleck.
We would like to thank all of our family and friends for the phone calls, messages, meals, flowers, visits and loving support over the past year. A very special thank-you to Lucas and Jamie-Lea for your endless generosity, help, love and support. We would also like to express our gratitude to all the doctors, nurses and medical staff at The Huntsville District Memorial Hospital who provided kind, compassionate and dignified care. RVH Cancer Centre, Muskoka Paramedic Services, and Billingsley Funeral Chapel.
To honour Glenn his final wish to his friends and family-It would be that we would not be sad or cry but remember and cherish all the fun times we shared.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place in St. Catharines “where our story began”, on January 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at George Darte Funeral Chapel 565 Carlton St. Followed by a gathering of friends and family at the Merritton Legion between 1:00 and 4:00.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society http://www.cancer.ca/ or Huntsville Hospice http://www.hospicehuntsville.com/ .
