Giovanni "John" Loris Nobile

John (Giovanni) Loris Nobile, a man known for his infectious laughter, boundless love, and unwavering optimism, passed away on May 15, 2024. He was born on August 8, 1954, and his life stood as a testament to joy, resilience, and the power of human connection.

Predeceased by his father Dario Nobile, survived by his mother Antonietta Nobile, his wife Shelly Nobile, his sons Alessandro and Matteo Nobile (partner Bronwen Holder), his sisters Oretta Avoledo (brother-in-law, Silvano Avoledo), Nadia Gilchrist (brother-in-law, Ray Gilchrist, and his nieces and nephews. 
John possessed a smile that illuminated every room he entered. His laughter was infectious, and his jokes were a highlight at any gathering.

Music was a lifelong passion for John, and he became a gifted pianist and musician, captivating audiences with his melodies and sharing his love for music with all who listened. Later in life, he found solace and camaraderie in golf, believing that spending four hours on the golf course was the best way to truly know someone.
Many of John's most cherished memories were intertwined with Deerhurst Resort, where he spent over 35 years of his life. It was at Deerhurst where he met his wife, Shelly, exchanged vows and witnessed the growth of his children, Alessandro and Matteo. John was also a beloved son, brother, and uncle, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.

Despite facing a battle with cancer, John approached each day with courage and grace, never losing his indomitable spirit.

John (Giovanni) Loris Nobile leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and boundless joy. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

The celebration of life will be held at Deerhurst Resort - Peninsula Room on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Huntsville/Algonquin Grace Hospice (Donate - Hospice Huntsville).
