Geraldine Lynne (Bullock) Wright

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Geraldine “Lynne” Wright (Bullock). Lynne passed away surrounded by her loving family at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Saturday July 29th, 2023, at the age of 82. Beloved mother of David Wright (Laura-Lee) and Grandmother to Saleen Taylor (Wright) her husband Jay and three lovely great grandchildren, April, Tanisha, and Johnathan. She is survived by her sister Sharon Collingham (Bullock) and three nephews Christopher (Spela), Jason (Michelle), and “Big” Chris, as well as Heather Saunders and Donnie Mosher, and many extended family members. Remembered by many friends and acquaintances. Life will not be the same without her and we will all miss her deeply.

Lynne was born July 23, 1941 in Toronto, Ontario but considered Muskoka her home. She is predeceased by, her parents George and Gwen Bullock (Burbidge), loving husband of 55 years James “Gunner” Wright, and sister Gwen Mosher (Bullock).

She was a kind and gentle soul with a little bit of a stubborn streak. She was loving, caring, she would go above and beyond to help anyone in need. Her family meant the world to her. Lynne loved to play Euchre and try her luck with the scratch tickets and lottery. She was a keen Blue Jays fan and never missed a game. Lynne had an extraordinary and somewhat sarcastic sense of humor and thoroughly enjoyed her outings with close friends.

We would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Huntsville Memorial Hospital for the care provided to Lynne.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stoke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 232 on September 9, 2023 from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.
