Evelyn Alice Wallace

Evelyn Alice Wallace, born Wreggitt on January 28, 1931, in Huntsville, Ontario, left this world peacefully at her home on April 1, 2025. She was a cherished presence whose love and commitment to her family the cornerstones of her life.

Evelyn was the beloved wife of the late Dennis Trevor Wallace, with whom she shared many beautiful years filled with love and laughter. Together, they created a warm and nurturing environment, bringing their family together through the bonds of love and shared experiences. Her memory will forever be cherished alongside her late daughter, Sherrill Beaulieu, and her son, Joseph Wallace, who have been welcomed into the embrace of eternity.

Evelyn was a devoted mother to her surviving children, Gordon (Doreen) Wallace, Karen (Dominic) Robichaudc, and Dennis Steienburg, whom she loved as a son. She found immense joy and pride in her role as a matriarch, enjoying countless family gatherings where her cooking skills shone brightly. Her ability to bring everyone together around the table will be fondly remembered by her ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren, each of whom holds a special place in her heart.

In addition to her family, Evelyn had an array of interests that showcased her nurturing spirit. She found happiness in knitting, gardening, and above all, caring for her loved ones. Her hands, gentle yet capable, created warmth not only in her knitted pieces but also within the family home that was always filled with love and comfort.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Campbell Bus Line Limited for their continuous support, as well as Dr. Any MacMillan and the palliative care team for their compassionate care. Special thanks to Lora and Sheryl, whose love and support were invaluable during this journey.

Evelyn Wallace leaves behind a legacy woven with love, family memories, and cherished moments. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire those she touched during her incredible life—a life filled with laughter, love, and unwavering devotion to her family.
