DICKSON, Ethel Annettta (nee Wood)

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Andy’s House in Port Carling at the age of 88. Ethel was born on April 20, 1935, in Lindsay, Ontario to parents Edwin & Leitha (nee Hughes) Wood. She is survived by her four loving children and their spouses, Lynda Roos (Bill), Nancy Nickason (Randy), Rick Dickson (Bev), and Sandy Van Erp (Nick). Ethel was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Born during the depression she had a happy childhood and grew up having many different jobs. From retail in a shoe store, to being a nurse’s aid in the maternity ward, to working in a post office and office manager in a large office supplies company. It was her volunteer work with Hospice that she was the most proud of. In her younger years she enjoyed an active social life with friends and always enjoyed visits with family.

Her smile will be what family and friends will remember the most.

In keeping with Ethel’s wishes a private family funeral service will be held.
