Elmer Roy Fisher passed away after his courageous battle with cancer on October 28 at home with his wife, Amy by his side. Born on December 1, 1932 Elmer is predeceased by his mother Louella Ferguson and father Cecile Fisher. He is survived by his wife Amy Fisher, his six children, Nina (Tom Donaldson), Lula (Jimmy Ballantine), Donna (Jack West), Harvey, Nolan (Betty Joe) and Mark, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Youngest of seven, Elmer was a hard working and humble man born in the depression to hard working parents. His mother passed away before he was a year old which lead to him being passed from one relative to another as a young boy. He started working at age twelve with his father and older siblings in the bush. Later he worked in the Woodstock and area. He married Amy Appleyard on February 7, 1958. Elmer the began his business, Fisher Firewood, where he continued working well into his golden years. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We know he will be greatly missed by his family and trust that the Lord will grant him a home in heaven where he will be content and pain free.
