Ellen Louise Bell

Ellen Louise Bell passed away peacefully with family by her side at Hospice Huntsville on June 4, 2024, in her 76^th year.

Ellen was born on December 30, 1947. 

She was the loving wife of John (Jack) Bell for 52 years.

Ellen received her bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in education majoring in counselling in her younger years. Throughout her life she was a counsellor and mentor to many with a focus on biblical counselling. One of her many passions in life included being with her family. As a mother and grandmother, she was caring and kind, often spoiling her grandchildren. Her vast CD collection contains many classical and instrumental compositions. Ellen dedicated her life to God and always followed what the Bible taught her, while still maintaining a good sense of humour. Her sharp wit will be missed dearly by her loved ones.

Predeceased by her parents Richard Jones, Alma Jones (nee Libis), sister Constance Jones and brother Philip Jones.

She will be dearly missed by her husband John (Jack) Bell, daughter Elizabeth (Liz) Verheye (nee Bell), stepdaughters Sara Bell and Katy Norman (nee Bell), grandchildren Quinn Norman, Luke Norman, Brianna Verheye and Gabrielle Verheye.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Billingsley Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Billingsley Funeral Home. Following the service, burial will occur at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery at 12:00 p.m., followed by a reception at Billingsley Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m.
