McIELWAIN, Elizabeth Carolyn (nee Scriver)

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital at the age of 84.  Beloved wife of the late Robert McIelwain who predeceased Carolyn on December 18, 2016.  Cherished mother of J.C. (Anne) McIelwain, Rob (Carol) McIelwain, Kathy (dec. Denis) Henderson, and Karry (Kim) Nelson.  Adored grandmother of Sara (Bill) Plant, David (Lindsay) McIelwain, Michael McIelwain, Evan (Julia) Mattice, Julie (Yann) Gagnon, Bill McIelwain, Amanda McIelwain, Jonathan Henderson, Kyle (Claudia) Nelson, Kade Nelson, and Kole (Keira) Nelson.  Great-grandmother of Hailey, Hannah, Lexi and Lea Plant, Willa, Claire, and Joshua McIelwain, Hailie, Evan Kelsie and Julia, Ella and Maddie Gagnon, Carson Mattice, Korbin, and Griffin Nelson.  Survived by her sister Deanna McKee and sister-in-law Beverly (Keith) Ferguson.  Predeceased by her parents Joshua & Edith (nee Lovegrove) Scriver.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Billingsley Funeral Home, Huntsville, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m.  Reception to follow.  Carolyn will be laid to rest at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery in the Spring.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka or Hospice Huntsville.
