It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dianne Maurine Alsop, age 80. Dianne was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend.  She passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18, 2022 at the Muskoka Landing Long term care home in Huntsville.  Dianne was born to the late Harry and Eileen Taylor on January 27, 1942 in St. Catherine’s, then moved to Jackson’s Point Ontario to raise their family. She was married for 56 years to Allen Alsop, who preceded her death in December 2020. They shared a fulfilling life together in Newmarket Ontario.  Dianne was a skilled seamstress, and her hands were rarely still. Her love of cats was endless, and there was always a special fur friend by her side.  Dianne will be lovingly missed by her sister, Nancy (Paul) Huntley, her two sons, David (Angela) and Stephen, her grandchildren, Jacob, Emma, and Ryan, as well as her extended family and friends.  We thank all those who cared for her during the last years of her life. Plans for a celebration of life ceremony will be announced at a future date.  You will be forever, lovingly missed mom. We take comfort knowing you and dad are together now.
