MacCORMACK, Carl Joseph
Retired employee of Kimberly Clark of 36 years. Carl passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Eunice MacCormack (nee Buelow) of 45 years. Loving father of Michael (Angelique) and Michelle MacCormack. Cherished grandfather of Ruari, Stuart, Fiona, Maria, Kora and Karma. Dear brother of Jean (Don) Ferguson, Don (Alice), Jerry (Carol Anne), Christine, Ron (Joy) and Dennis MacCormack. Pre-deceased by his brothers Bernie, Allan and John.
Born in Cleveland, Nova Scotia to parents Alexander and Stella MacCormack who he would later visit in Cape Breton on many occasions. His love of the ocean would see him take many cruises with his beloved wife. As much as he loved the ocean, Carl loved being outdoors riding his ATV or just driving the back roads with his old truck. Carl was also an avid sports fan, he loved watching baseball, hockey and football. It was however his grandchildren that gave him the most joy.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Billingsley Funeral Home, 430 Ravenscliffe Road, Huntsville from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 1 High Street, Huntsville at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
