On September 19, 2019 Beryl Hulcoop passed into the presence of her Lord and Saviour. She was in her 98th year. Born in England, but raised in Toronto with her Aunt and Uncle she was originally a ‘city girl’. But after her marriage to Arthur Hulcoop they moved to the country and lived in a rural setting from then on . She had four children, Marilyn, Tim, Wendy & Tom and taught them all about God and God’s creation. She was glad when they all chose partners in life with the same values and loved her extended family too, especially when the grandchildren and great-grandchildren came along! Although her formal schooling ended at grade eight she was intensely interested in medicine, horticulture and animal care, reading many magazines and articles on those subjects. Although she never had a driver’s license she managed to get around, visiting her sibs in England three times, once by ship and twice by plane. As soon as Art retired they were off with the camper—east coast, west coast, USA., Ontario Parks, etc. Her love of animals was an intrinsic part of her being. In the last year of her life she grieved over the absence of a furry friend by her side. The squirrels and chipmunks outside the retirement home benefitted greatly from this, however! We will miss her greatly, but rejoice in knowing how happy she is now!
