Barbara Patricia (Los) Yule (March 17, 1920 - August 10, 2018) Beloved wife of the late Glen Yule and sister of the late Margaret Haliburton. Dear mother of Robin, Alix and the late Warren Yule. Loving grandmother of Christopher, Gregory, Jennifer, Emily, Garth and Amanda and proud great-grandmother of Avery, Chloe, Rachel, Vincent, Isaac, Gavin, Nathan, Kai, Sadeé, Eira and Astrid; and cherished Aunt Barb to many nieces, nephews and family friends. Long-time matriarch of the Fox Lake community, Barbara helped found the Fox Lake Association and the Annual Regatta and didn't miss a regatta for 45 years. Born in Saskatchewan, Barbara lived in Fonthill, Toronto and Huntsville and cottaged for over 70 years on Fox Lake in Muskoka. In addition to homemaking, Barbara's career included teaching school, working as a needle-worker and bookkeeper at the Anglican Diocesan Centre in Toronto and volunteering with the Anglican Church Women and various Hospital Auxiliaries - receiving a provincial award for 50 years of Volunteer service. Renowned for her optimism, enthusiasm, story-telling and homemade pies, Barbara was an avid bridge player, dancer, canoeist and world traveler. Together with Glen she made many trips throughout North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. She has inspired many and will be forever loved. Celebration of Life at Billingsley Funeral Home in Huntsville on Saturday, August 18 with visitation from 12:00 noon and service at 1:30 p.m. followed by reception.
