Athora Hendrickson

Passed away suddenly at her home in Huntsville on Monday, March 24, 2025 in her 82nd year. Athora was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario to parents Wesley & Bernice (nee Hayes) Sararas. Beloved wife of the late Ray Hendrickson who predeceased Athora on June 25, 2024. Loving mother of Dwayne and his wife Wendy. Proud grandmother of Lucas, Justin, Amber, Willow, Jade, Rory and Michael. Dear sister of Glen, David, Areata, Gordon, Gene, Terry and Wendy.

After working at Deerhurst as a cleaning lady, Athora went on to obtain her Personal Support Worker Certificate and would work with many in their homes and at Fairvern Nursing Home. She will always be remembered as a loving mom and grandma and spending her life helping others. In her spare time Athora enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, solving puzzles and creating care packs for those in need. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Billingsley Funeral Home, 430 Ravenscliffe Road, Huntsville from 11:00 a.m. until time of the memorial service in the chapel at 12:00 p.m. A reception to follow in the funeral home lounge. In keeping with her wishes, cremations has taken place.
