BREAR, Alice (nee Russell)

Passed away peacefully on June 10, 2023, at Fairvern Nursing Home in her 91st year.  Beloved wife of Harry Brear for 72 years.  Dear mother of Merna (Ted), Nancy, Verna, Barry and the late Barbara.  Proud grandmother of Alicia (Frank), Amy (Dan), Matthew (Stephanie) and Madison.  Great-grandmother of Jacob, Bryson and Brooklyn.  Predeceased by her parents Philo and Annie (nee Fountain) Russell and siblings George (Violet) Russell, Emma (Stan) Smith, Jenny (Jim) Sawyer, Florence (Russ) Bedard, Joe Russell, Elwood Russell, Percy Russell, Charlie Russell, Richard (Gladys) Russell, Eleanor (Cecil) Horton.  Alice will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Alice took great joy in caring for her family and later working for Trillium Lakeland School Board.  We will miss her love, guidance and words of wisdom, not to mention her pies, butter tarts, Christmas cake and sauce.  Mom was an amazing cook.  The family would like to thank the staff at Fairvern for their care and compassion to our mother.

Private family arrangements have been entrusted to Billingsley Funeral Home.  If desired, memorial donations to Friends of Fairvern or Huntsville Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers.
