Zeth Micheal John Laking

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Zeth Micheal John Laking on June 28, 2024. Zeth died peacefully in his sleep.

Zeth loved taking risks and was a thrill seeker, he was always teasing everyone around him usually trying to convince them to join him in on his shenanigans. He enjoyed jumping off Brook’s Falls, Kearney Bridge, or anything he could find for that matter. He loved music, playing guitar, camping, fishing and swimming. He loved to take the kids out to hunt salamanders, fish, swim in the falls, or go boating. Zeth was unapologetically wild and could bring the adventurous side out of all his family and friends.

Zeth is survived by his daughters Rihana Laking and Nyla Laking, his parents Ronald Laking and Kelly O’Connor, his siblings Patience Laking (Joe Wood), and Frances Laking. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Chayce, Harmony, Anchor, Liam, Jaxon, and Rhythm, and cousins Tancy, Michael, Brenden, Vern, Cody and many more. He is predeceased by his sister Viola Laking.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday July 10, 2024, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 276 in Kearney, Ontario from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. We are asking everyone to wear something white as it was Zeth's signature look.
